Stefano Mantellassi, Vice President Energy Solutions Initiatives – Sub-Saharan Africa at Eni
In the industry for the past over 25 years, Stefano has a wealth of experience in emerging markets, having worked across Kazakhstan, Congo and Nigeria.
As of November 2017 he has taken on the role of Vice President responsible for South Saharan African in Eni’s renewable energy division, called Eni Energy Solutions. As such, he identifies and drives renewable energy initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is also responsible for portfolio optimization, monitoring and analysis of ongoing projects in the region.
With the company since 1991, he has held a number of senior management positions across the business value chain (from upstream, to midstream and downstream), such as Commercial Manager of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company, Head of the Commercial Division of Eni Congo and Marketing Director in Kazakhstan. More recently, Stefano served as VP for Upstream Negotiations responsible for Central Asia end the Americas and as VP for Upstream Marketing at Eni Trading and Shipping.
Stefano holds a degree in Industrial Technologies and a specialization in management from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
