Director for Raw Materials, Auxiliaries and Utilities in Europe, AB InBev
Ekaterina Kargopoltseva is Sourcing Director for Raw Materials, Auxiliaries and Utilities in Europe for AB InBev, the world’s leading brewer and producer of global brands Stella Artois, Corona, Budweiser.
Within her role, Ekaterina oversees procurement and implementation of flagship Renewable Electricity agreements as well as energy category management. Her current focuses include adding renewable capacity to the grid through virtual power purchase agreements and running onsite solar projects throughout Europe.
As part of AB InBev’s 2025 Sustainability Goals, Ekaterina and her team are working towards 100% of the brewer’s purchased electricity coming from renewable sources by 2025and achieving a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions across its value chain.
Prior to becoming Sourcing Director she worked as an energy category manager in Europe. In this role she looked after commodity hedging strategies, coverage and overall short term and long term strategy of the category.
She holds a MSc degree in General Management in Vlerick Business School in Belgium, and a BSc degree in Economics and Finance in London School of Economics.
