Jochen Hauff is Head of Business Development, Energy Industry & Policy at BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH, an internationally active group focused to 100% on renewable energy (Solar, Wind & Bioenergy) and headquartered in Munich, Germany. BayWa r.e. is a downstream player in solar energy active in solar project development, PV wholesale to installers and O&M of PV parks. Close to 50 % of group turnover stems from the solar business. BayWa r.e. joined SolarPowerEurope in 2015 and focused its contribution to the association on auction design, O&M best practices, trade issues as well as corporate sourcing of renewables.
Jochen joined BayWa r.e. in January 2015 and was in charge of the re-positioning of its photovoltaic wholesale activities in Germany as Managing Director of Solar Energy Systems GmbH. In January 2016, he took over responsibility for the overall group strategy and business development, covering all technologies and functional areas (project development, O&M, photovoltaic & energy wholesale). In 2016 Jochen was elected Board Director of SPE and lead the auction task force. In 2017 he was elected Vice President, represented SPE in several solar trade hearings and actively supports the corporate sourcing initiative.
Before joining BayWa r.e., Jochen was Director Renewable Energy & Sustainability at A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm.
