Executive Director, smartEn Smart Energy Europe
Frauke Thies is Executive Director of smartEn, the European business association integrating the decentralized solutions of the clean energy transition. The association’s aim is to create opportunities for every company, building and car to support an increasingly renewable energy system.
Before joining smartEn in September 2015, Frauke held different positions at Greenpeace EU and the European Photovoltaic Industry Association SolarPower Europe. She also worked on secondments in Washington, D.C. and in New Delhi, India.
She holds a Master degree in Environmental Sciences from Lüneburg University, Germany, and an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School, Belgium.
