Director at the European Commission's Directorate General for Energy
Ms Wörsdörfer is a Director at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Energy, in charge of renewables, research and innovation, energy efficiency.
Between 2014 and 2017, as a Director in the same Directorate-General, she was responsible for energy policy, international relations, legal aspects and economic analysis. In that function she notably managed the development of the Energy Union Framework Strategy, the Governance and external aspects. Prior to that Ms Wörsdörfer worked as head of the policy unit in DG Energy, in particular on the 2030 Energy and Climate Framework. Before, she pursued a long career at DG Enterprise & Industry in the area of competitiveness and SME policies. Between 1999 – 2004 she worked in the Cabinet of Erkki Liikanen, the European Commissioner for Enterprise Policy and Information Society.
Ms Wörsdörfer studied Economics at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Montpellier and completed her studies with a Master in European Economics at the Free University of Brussels.
She speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
